Harry Styles has quietly let slip some big news: a music video for fan-favorite song “Coming Up Roses” is on the way — and fans will not have to wait long to see it.
Styles revealed the video during his concert at Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday, October 24, and the clip is set to arrive on Monday, October 26. Even some fans who were in the room may have missed the announcement, delivered almost as an aside while Styles sat at his piano.
A quiet announcement at Madison Square Garden
Fan footage captured the moment Styles casually told the Garden crowd, “‘Coming Up Roses’ video on Monday.” The low-key reveal fits the song’s gentle spirit — and it sent fans scrambling to rewatch clips to make sure they had heard him right.
There was another clue hiding in plain sight. The Spotify Canvas video clip for “Roses” was updated with a short clip showing two sets of feet looking hesitantly ready to dance, a tease that now reads as a clear hint of what is coming.
The video arrives Monday morning
Styles made the news more public later on Sunday, posting a promo image on Instagram that read: “Coming Up Roses. October 26, 16:00 UK.” That works out to 11 a.m. ET and 8 a.m. PT for fans in North America.
The “Coming Up Roses” video will be the fourth visual from Styles’ Billboard 200 No. 1 album “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally,” following videos for Hot 100 No. 1 “Aperture,” “American Girls” and “Dance No More.” The track itself is a beloved, poignant piano-and-strings ballad that has held a regular place on Styles’ tour setlists.
A historic Garden run — and more to come
The announcement comes during Styles’ historic run at Madison Square Garden, which wraps on Halloween, with nights 29 and 30 on October 30 and 31. A documentary about the experience is also in the works, directed by John Wilson and produced by Universal Pictures Content Group, Peanut World Pictures and Styles himself.
After New York, the Together, Together tour heads to Melbourne, Australia, in November and December — giving fans there their own chance to hear “Coming Up Roses” live. Elsewhere in music this week, Jack Antonoff opened up about his split from Margaret Qualley and the love songs he decided to keep singing.
